Nick has raised more before his party’s nomination contest than Spanberger did in 2018
Culpeper, VA – Today, Nick Freitas, a Green Beret combat veteran, announced that his campaign has raised over $1 million since announcing his candidacy late last year. This total amount raised is twice as much as any other Republican candidate has reported or announced thus far and follows Nick significantly out-raising every other Republican candidate in every single fundraising report since announcing his candidacy.
Further, Nick Freitas raised more in the 7 months between his announcement and his pre-convention report than Abigail Spanberger raised in the 11 months between her announcement and pre-primary report in 2018.
Making this announcement, Nick Freitas gave the following statement:
“The support we have received from across the 7th District, across Virginia, and across the country has been incredible from Day 1. Over the past seven months, with the help of our grassroots supporters, we have been able to raise more money during our nomination period than Congresswoman Spanberger raised before her primary two years ago, putting us firmly on track to flip this seat back in 2020. With the continued support of the voters across the 7th District and our grassroots supporters across the country, I know that we can restore conservative leadership to our district.”
