Culpeper, VA – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business association, endorsed combat veteran Nick Freitas for Congress in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District.
Announcing their endorsement, Nicole Riley, NFIB’s Virginia State Director stated:
“Nick Freitas has been a strong advocate for small businesses during his time in the Virginia state Legislature,” said Nicole Riley, NFIB’s Virginia State Director. “He knows the issues our members care about and has been instrumental in pushing our state to conform its income tax to the small business tax relief found in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, which offered substantial relief to small businesses everywhere. We are confident Nick Freitas will continue to stand up for our country’s small businesses in Congress, and we are proud to endorse him today for election to Congress on behalf of our members.”
Continuing, NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin added:
“Freitas’ solid voting record with NFIB during his time in the Virginia House of Delegates speaks for itself,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “We know he will continue to make supporting small businesses a top issue of his in Congress. On behalf of the small business community in Virginia and across the country, we are pleased to endorse Nick Freitas today.”
Accepting the endorsement, Nick Freitas stated the following:
“It’s an honor to be endorsed by the member-driven, pro-small business NFIB. Our small businesses, and the families they support, are still fighting hard to recover from the effects and restraints of COVID-19. They need leadership in Congress that will fight to lower taxes and cut burdensome regulations to keep our small businesses strong and grow our economy. That is what I have fought for in Richmond and is what I will continue to fight for in Congress.”
